Welcome to Centenary’s Children’s Ministries!
Children’s ministries at Centenary are full of action and
excitement! We invite you to be a part of what is going on.
Upcoming Events
We'll be having an end-of-year celebration for our Wednesday night program on Wednesday May 21 at 6 pm. Come and enjoy our Crashes, Bangs and Booms in our Chemistry Experiment Extravaganza featuring Dr. Melanie Hauser! Bring a friend!

Check out our Holy Land Adventure to be held June 22-26! Here's a link to our registration. Print it out and fill it out, then drop it off, or mail it in! See more on Jerusalem Marketplace here.
Nursery
Centenary offers nursery for all three services: 8.30, 9.45,
and 11 a.m. Nursery is also provided for Wednesday night
programming and most Bible Studies.
At the Christian Life Campus, the nursery is located just inside
the entry on your right hand side.
Sunday School
Centenary offers two children's Sunday school times: 9.00 and 9.45.
Our intimate setting for 9.00 classes is available for Upper Elementary
(grades 3-5) in Rm 133 and Lower Elementary (grades K-2) in Rm 136.
Our 9.45 classes are offered for preschoolers (Rm 140), Kindergartners and
1st graders (Rm 136), 2nd and 3rd graders (Rm 133), and 4th and 5th
graders (Rm 139).
At the Christian Life Center Campus, the Sunday School rooms are located
down the hallway on your right hand side as you enter the building.
Worship Bags
Worship bags are available at the door to the multi-purpose
room. Inside you will find pencils, crayons, a Pockets Magazine
and a children’s bulletin, along with a few other items. You
are welcome to take the contents home with you (but please
return our bags to the box).
Children’s Moments
During our 11 a.m. traditional service, there is a special time for our
children. We call it ‘Moments Mostly for Children.’ Children are invited
to come forward for a message all their own.
Children’s Church
Children are welcome to remain in the worship service. If you prefer, we also
offer children’s church during the 11.00 am service. After ‘Moments Mostly
for Children,’ children may be dismissed for Children’s Church. Ages
3 and 4 will go to room 139 (go out into the foyer, turn left, room 139 is
the first room on your left), and Kindergartners and 1st graders will be dismissed
to the choir room (the door to the right of the stage).
Children who attend the 9.45 am Contemporary Service may attend Sunday
School while their parents worship. Or, if you prefer, children are welcome to
remain in the service.
Wednesday Programming
Jubilation Station begins at 5.45 pm Wednesday evenings with a craft
time in the multipurpose room. We follow up this time with a Large Group
time (including drama, games and memory verse work) in Room 139. The
children then go to a Small Group shepherding time, which is divided by age group.
It all wraps up at 7.00 pm. Two year olds through 5th graders are
welcome! Jubilation Station runs through September through May, with
some breaks for special programs.

Watch the Centenary bulletin and newsletter for more information---there’s always
something happening for kids at Centenary!
Centenary United Methodist Church is a Safe Sanctuary for children. Our volunteers are required to undergo background checks and to be active with our congregation for a period of six months before being an active volunteer. We observe a ‘two adult rule’ in our classrooms, which may include the presence of a floating adult. We are required by Kentucky State Law to report any instance of abuse or suspected abuse. As a parent, you can help us by supervising your children in hallways and public areas, picking up your child from his/her classroom after class, and educating your child on safe behaviors. Centenary loves children and we want to keep them safe!
