Topic: Genesis Bible Study

Time: Sundays at 6 p.m.

Topic: The Five Love Languages, written by Gary Chapman.  This is a 7-week class.  It doesn't matter whether you are single, married, divorced, or remarried, you will benefit from this class.

Cost: $20 (cost for workbooks and includes The Love Languages of Apology class)

Tuesday Mornings
Topic: Loved by God:  Trusting His Promises and Experiencing His Blessings by Liz Curtis Higgs
Leader: LaVerne Slone
From April 15 to May 27th we'll be studying Genesis with Liz Curtis Higgs.  All women are welcome to this lively intergenerational group.  Childcare is provided.  Please call Jill Winter at the church to reserve your materials. (If Boyle County Schools are out due to weather, we will not meet.)
Cost: $10 for the workbook

Upper Room Prayer Group:
 This group will resume Tuesday, August 21st, at 9am in the Upper Room at the CLC. The purpose of this group is to pray for both personal and corporate prayer needs. If you have a heart for prayer and intercession, join us for a time of Spirit-led prayer.

Wednesday

Wednesday Noon Bible Study:
Bible Study of Genesis at CLC on Wednesdays with lunch at 12 (noon) and study immediately following and ending approximately 1:45pm.   Typically this group is video-based.

Adult Bible Study: Vespers
Join this group if you enjoy an informal time of prayer, worship and a relevant message from the Word. This group prays each week over our congregations prayer concerns which are presented each week on prayer cards inserted in the Sunday bulletin.

Young Methodist Men:
Our nation is suffering from a severe shortage of integrity. It needs men willing to stand strong in the midst of moral chaos. What is the Christian male to do? Men are routinely blamed for many things that are not accurate. “They’re too passive. Scandalously insensitive. Too wrapped up in their work. Or consumed with sports. They never grow up.” How does a Christian male deal with these frustrating stereotypes? How does a Christian male protect his family, his children, his marriage? When does a Christian male find time to pray? To read the Bible? To meditate? Or to play? Join with other men on this masculine journey guided by readings of your own choice about topics of your own choosing.

Women's Bible Study:
Our Wednesday Night Women’s Bible Study Group resumes on January 9 at 6 p.m. in Room 131 at the CLC with a study called "The Power of a Praying Woman" facilitated by Sharon Bailey. This study is for women who are hungry for the Word of God; who want to be "women of the Word." They are eager to study the Bible and know how to make it an integral part of their daily lives--how to integrate its teachings and truths into their everyday relationships, decisions, and challenges.

Love Languages of God:

This new 8-week study begins January 23.  Identify your own primary love language, the love languages of those closest to you, and the love language in which you express love for God and receive love from God.

This group meets for breakfast, prayer, devotion, and discussion.

Disciple Bible Study:
Becoming Disciples through Bible Study meets Thursdays from  6 p.m.-8 p.m. This study will cover the entire Bible chronologically following the complete story of the relationship between God and his children, over the course of the next 34+ weeks. Participants will grow committed to making transformations in each life as each learn the 34 Marks of Discipleship. Together, we will reach beyond the basics of Scripture.
